So a couple days ago I went and talked to an admissions counselor about getting in to the cosmetology program at their school.
^That one.
It was fun, and I enjoyed meeting my admissions counselor, a young energetic lady, who really made me feel comfortable about meeting the rest of the staff. In fact everybody was very nice and open towards me. Anyway, Ms. Maggie (her name) was very thorough in explaining the program, and YES, she put the numbers right out there no bullshit. My program is a little over 21,000$
Anyway after talking to her about my long term goals, success, and what I thought they were looking for in a potential student etc., I took a test made up of basic reading comprehension skills, and basic multiplication/division questions, but mostly reading comp. And Ms. Maggie said I did excellent and I qualified. So then we took a tour of the salon/class rooms, and then the massage parlor.
The entire process took 2 1/2 hours (5:30-7:40) and my mom and I were pooped, so unfortunately we did not finish up, and we have to go back next Saturday to discuss financial aid! Well I am extremely excited. I feel like this is the perfect choice for me, I think this can be a very profitable endeavor and it will actually be doing something I ENJOY which is really important and something I have stressed to my family every time the subject of medical field was brought up. They need to watch out, because I'm going to be THE BEST cosmetologist out there!
Everything I love I hope others can relate in some way

Wish list (WARNING! LONG POST)
These are just a few things I've had my eye on for a minute.
This adorable little number is a 3 pc Ma*rs set off Kumi Makiko's. I think most of their items are over priced with the exception of the sets, and when I get my Xmas money this year, this little puppy is the first thing I'm buying.
Two more sets from Kumi makikos
Fur boots for the winter, and these are just so fly, and feminine, and gyaru to me!
I've wanted a pair of sneaker stilettos since they were popular back in the early 2000s, they would cap off my b-gal looks perfectly.
E by Evelyn Lozada 88 shimmer palette. Evelyn has the most on point makeup of all the basket ball wives so I was ecstatic when she came out with a makeup line. I have seen and heard great things.
Brushes >< my fave color with a matching bag
This looks just like Brenda Song's hair >_<!Would be good for my agejo looks.
<<<This for so many obvious reasons
Annnd that pretty much brings us to the end of my endless pool of wants. Hope you liked scrolling through my mind (yes this was a window into how my mind works) See you next time

Gyaru (my attempts)
When I first started I was trying to do b-gal
I've always loved urban fashion since the early 2000s, black girls dressed so cutely back then! Like hiphop babrbie dolls; Nivea, Aaliyah, Eve, Lil' Kim, Destiny's Child, TLC, 3lw, Amerie, Ashanti. So I really admired the style, but never felt I could do it because I was lacking a certain ASSet *looks behind me* until I saw gyaru doing it, if they can make it look good with little ASSets so can I, but obviously I need a little work.
Agejo is my absolute fave because I love the concept of mixing sexy with cute. When you're my size (4"11" 87 lbs) sexy is far out of your reach, but if you aim for cute laced with sexy it's a bit more doable. This is the perfect style for someone who suffers from PCS (perpetual cuteness syndrome) like.
Ora ora this style is just so sexy, but I was told my attempt looked more rokku >_<
So far these have been my attempts at my favorite of gyaru styles. It's a hard style to up keep, but I'll keep working hard!

Juggling styles (my styles)
It's mad hard trying to divide your time between two styles, especially when it's two styles on complete opposite ends of the spectrum.
On the one hand you have gyaru. Gyaru is such and advanced style that has been around for ages; constantly evolving, and growing. Here in the west it's growing everyday, and gaining more recognition so you'd think that'd make doing gyaru easier right? But it doesn't! Look at those girls, to become a good gal it takes dedication, patience, effort, time, and a LOT of hard work. Especially to do a style as high maintenance as agejo, my personal favorite. It takes a lot of money, and creativity. You also have to improvise, and look for clothes that are good knock off's of the original clothes.
On the other hand you have udoli. Udoli has been around only a few years (about 5) and is constantly dying to be reincarnated. It has so much potential, but you have to make it happen with constant promotion, speaking of promotion a little shameless promotion here :-P (http://dessiesdolls.tumblr.com/ http://udoli.polyvore.com/)
Check us out! It's much more low maintenance (despite the pictures) But it's an all consuming job trying to KEEP the style alive, and show people why it's so great.
So it can be a head ache to juggle these styles. It can even be exhausting-but to me it's worth it, and if you're juggling multiple styles just do your best, divide your time evenly between the two, and devote and equal amount of time to both because in the end it will definitely pay off.
