It was fun, and I enjoyed meeting my admissions counselor, a young energetic lady, who really made me feel comfortable about meeting the rest of the staff. In fact everybody was very nice and open towards me. Anyway, Ms. Maggie (her name) was very thorough in explaining the program, and YES, she put the numbers right out there no bullshit. My program is a little over 21,000$
Anyway after talking to her about my long term goals, success, and what I thought they were looking for in a potential student etc., I took a test made up of basic reading comprehension skills, and basic multiplication/division questions, but mostly reading comp. And Ms. Maggie said I did excellent and I qualified. So then we took a tour of the salon/class rooms, and then the massage parlor.
The entire process took 2 1/2 hours (5:30-7:40) and my mom and I were pooped, so unfortunately we did not finish up, and we have to go back next Saturday to discuss financial aid! Well I am extremely excited. I feel like this is the perfect choice for me, I think this can be a very profitable endeavor and it will actually be doing something I ENJOY which is really important and something I have stressed to my family every time the subject of medical field was brought up. They need to watch out, because I'm going to be THE BEST cosmetologist out there!
